“When I have a camera in my hand, I know no fear.”

About Me

Welcome!

Hi, I'm Amanda, A Pensacola Family Photographer! I'm the girl (read salt-and-pepper-haired, 43 year old woman) behind the camera living and photographing families in the Pensacola, Florida and Gulf Shores, Alabama area. I live an active, blended family life with my husband, 2 step daughters, son, 3 cats, and gold retriever.

When I'm not chauffeuring my youngest to activities (while having my ear talked off about Minecraft and Roblox) or substitute teaching, you will find me hiking, photographing local wildlife, or playing in the water. I LOVE snorkeling and I'm learning to use my Stand Up Paddleboard (right now I just fall a lot). My favorite adventures so far have been swimming with manatees in Kings Bay in Crystal River, FL and snorkeling the sea wall along Fort Jefferson in Dry Tortugas National Park. All of that to say, if you're looking for a photography session that involves some hiking, playing in the water, or animals, I'm your girl!

My goal is to fill my client's walls with artwork by Finding Beauty Photography featuring their loved ones as well as prints from my personal Fine Art Collection.

Why's it called Finding Beauty Photography?

What’s in a name?

Some of my favorite things to photograph have always been everyday things – my daughters inspecting their new baby brother, my niece sitting in her inner tube at the water’s edge, a beautiful landscape.  So, when I took the leap and started photographing people all of those years ago, I knew it was important to showcase the beauty in "ordinary", everyday life.

I love bright, airy portraits, stolen moments, and striking, black-and-white photography. I think that photographs should tell a story and evoke a memory without a lot of special effects and editing. I want my clients to be the main focus of their photos.

Testimonials

“Thank you so much for your patience, skill and understanding of getting photos of a gathering of our family and keeping this group who are - to use an old southern metaphor "a herd of cats" - in such a wonderful fashion. You have made my holiday season, and I cannot express my appreciation eloquently enough to express my joy at the final efforts and results.”
